Transforming Dome Photos Into A Mesmerising Film
The @apple Instagram account highlights unique UGC perspectives from around the world through iPhone photography, and dome photography fit perfectly with this theme. After thorough research, I found a photographer who captures the domes of Istanbul using an iPhone. To elevate the concept visually, we created a striking film using stills of Istanbul's domes.
The Instagram video was viewed by over 450,000 people and received more than 1,600 comments. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism featured the film on their Instagram account, and the Turkish government channel interviewed the photographer.
Role in the project:
• Researched and sourced the right photographer for the idea.
• Shaped the visual narrative and edit using stills.
• Came up with the video idea to elevate UGC into a film.
• Prepared copy and social assets for release.
• Managed communication with the Apple client from ideation to execution.
